Which day..

Which day it is, today?..Rose day or Patch-up Day..or sum other stupid day...who cares.....i really dont understand the logic behind all these idiotic days...they simply dont make any sense..one day is fine..the Valentine's Day..dedicated to those who really care abt it..bt wats the need 4 a whole brigade .. it is of no use.All these so called days really dont matter to most of the ppl.. you ask anyone if V-DAY or these other so called spl. dayz make ny difference to them..most of them wl answer in negative.
Who cares.. bt i m still confused . even wen most of us dont care abt these dayz , then hw cum there is so much enthusiasm regarding them nd still they r celebrated with so much fervour..(if there is some ..)...the major culprit here is the media...media in India has the tendency of blowing things out of proportion...even a small issue is telecasted on the channel as if the future of whole nation is clinging to it, when in reality no one gives a damn abt it.
If u jst browse thru ny channel arnd the V day, u cn c various specially designed shows nd reports coverin the whole thing as if it is a big festival.....and our so called moral police also helps in promotin these days indirectly..the hue nd cry which is raised by these social groups jst adds to the momentum..they go vandalising public property showing their angst over the Vday..this is the story every yr..
And sadly, the younger generation is blamed 4 blindly apin the western culture nd erodin the indian values.This is really unfair...Most of us dont bother abt it andeven if some of the ppl want to celebrate the day as the day symbolizing love..wats the harm..noone is forgettin his/her values if they r celebratin the day....its is not a heinous crime..wats the need of creatin such a furore..
Personally, m nt in favor of such spl dayz coz these are some of the smart strategies adopted by various outlets for boostin their sales (nothing else..) nd they r pretty successful in doin so..
But i feel if sumone is deeply intrsted , then let them do wat they want to do in peace..its a free world.One cant stop sumone frm doin nythin untill nd unless it hurts the sentiments of other ppl..
Its a total wastage of time nd resources if the media nd these social groups get so much involved. A futile exercise..If all these efforts r utilized in sumthing more significant ,then it will reap greater benefits.This whole thing is jst nt worth of givin so much attention.The V day nd all its other counterparts shuld be treated jst lik other normal days..nothing else coz it is really frustratin to c the same drama unfolding each nd every yr wen it hardly matters to nyone.
